Opened in the Spring 2011, Beresheet is one of the newest and up to date resorts in Israel. This is a desert resort, located on the edge of the Mitzpeh Ramon crater. Beresheet is one of a select group of Isrotel luxury hotels and one of the most unique resorts in Israel.

Luxurious rooms in private chalets offer exceptional conveniences and breathtaking desert views. With the mountains and desert as background, you will discover the relaxation that the stark desert and rock formations provide. This is a unique setting, and a vacation that you will remember for years to come.

Drawing on the ambiance of its surroundings, the hotel decor is a pleasing combination of wood and stone, the wood reminiscent of the desert trees, the stone the crater, with orange and earth tone highlights, suggesting the sunset and the desert foliage.

Rooms: The resort's 111 rooms are in individual stone chalets. There are single-room units, a limited number of family units, and double-room chalets, each with its own entrance.

The standard room is a spacious double room with a king size bed, a seating area that can serve as an additional bed. There is a comfortable entrance way and dressing area, and a large and spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub.

There are two double rooms in a standard chalet, one on ground level and the other one flight up about 20 outdoor wooden stairs. Upper rooms have balconies and ground floor rooms have patios or private pools.

There are a limited number of family units that contain an extra bedroom and can accommodate a family with up to three children.

Resort Facilities: The resort's public facilities are in a central building. Its glass walls give guests wonderful vantage points for enjoying the dramatic views. The central building includes reception, a large and luxurious bar/lounge, the dining room, the spa, the indoor and outdoor pools, fitness room, children's entertainment area and the gift shop. You can stroll to/from your chalet and the main building on the paved pathways or hop on one of the electric golf carts or use one of the public bikes to get between your chalet and the main building. Private vehicles are not permitted on the hotel grounds.

The modern spa includes a high-quality health club and treatment rooms, and the exterior of the hotel features tennis courts and a large outdoor waterfall pool, located on the edge of the cliff, while a pool side restaurant serves light meals.

From eLuna Visitors to Beresheet:
Date: August 2016. Submitted by: Shimmy and Evy S. Comment: Firstly, thanks for being able to get us a reservation when the hotel was listed as sold out. The hotel is fabulous. Though we did not have the best view of the crater, the room was large and beautiful. Also, it was in the best possible location to view the sunrise, which is a must. Many rooms come with small private pools but, we were happy with our terrace. We were also close enough to the main building that we did not have to rely on the golf carts to pick us up. Honestly, even the furthest room is easily walkable. The entire staff speaks English and could not be friendlier. Accidentally locked my keys in my car with the engine on and they took care of it while I was eating a breakfast fit for a king.
There is a ton of stuff to do, as the facilities are first rate. However, we did nothing but lay at the fabulous pool with it's magnificent view. Hotel was booked solid but, one wouldn't know it. Aside from going to the lookout point to view the sunrise, we highly recommend driving into the crater to the colored sand and the nighttime astronomy tour.
Finally, there's the food. Outstanding and plentiful. We were there for BBQ night and I had steaks like I was on my way to the electric chair. Great variety at both breakfast and dinner with just about everything being delicious. As we were on half board, we ate lunch in the restaurant overlooking the crater. The food was delicious and the view couldn't be beat. They even gave us free desserts and beverages without us asking, because we had to wait too long for our food. Overall, this place is great and we definitely plan on going back. Ruth, thanks again for making this happen

Date: May 2016. Our Passover stay there was fabulous! We were a multi- generational group and there was something for everyone at all times. The service was. amazing--attentive and polite. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a sure-fire great time.

Everyting was wonderful at Bereishit. Sarit remembered us from previous and seated us at a large table suitable for 12 persons. The food was exquisite and there was an array of all sorts of foods. Our 6 grandchildren, ages 18 to 2 spent most of the time at the 2 pools
although they also rented bicycles. All in all a wonderful experience.

Date: March 2016. Very beautiful hotel and wonderful food. They were also very helpful with children, recommending activities in the area, and even providing babysitting when the parents wanted to have a romantic dinner alone! Thanks, eLuna!

Date: February 2016. We had a wonderful mini vacation at Beresheet with our children. Unlike most hotels and spas they do allow children which made it a wonderful place for a family get away. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. We took a kid friendly hike just minutes away from the hotel as well. Eluna was extremely helpful with making our reservations!

Date: November 2013. We found Beresheet simply outstanding. They complied with every one of our wishes. We hadn't bothered to reserve a succah. When we told them that I would only eat in a succah they straight away set up a special succah for us 11 people.
The food was out of this world and the variety unending. We have never experienced such service in Israel. Herbert & Carol G.
