Hamakom Suites in the Western Galilee, is a new concept in boutique hotels. This is the hotel for a completely private get-away with all the amenities. You define the schedule. Everything necessary is delivered to your room. Unless you choose to, you will not have to come out for your entire stay.

The hotel consists of 12 independent units scattered over 3 levels along the side of a hill. The units are identical in structure to one another with slightly different decor, and eLuna guests are always given the most secluded, private suites available.

From the outside these wood and stone units look rustic. Forget rustic. These are modern, spacious units with every comfort including two flat screen TVs, sophisticated electronics, surround sound, massage recliner and more.

Each unit is approximately 150 meters. The units are comfortably spaced from one another to allow maximum privacy. Each unit is self contained and includes a roomy bedroom area, a kitchenette dining and TV nook, an outdoor porch with a sitting area, elegant bath and the crowning glory: an indoor, fully enclosed and heated private pool and Jacuzzi.

The pool is approximately 6 meters long and about 5 meters wide, with corner sections cut out for design. It is about 1.5 meters deep throughout. Though it may not satisfy the Olympic swimmer, the pool is fine for hobbyist swimmers and for aquatic exercise. A motor can be switched on to create an "endless pool" effect.

Reserve your vacation through eLuna.com and enjoy special benefits only through our community.

The units are spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed. It is ideal for the couple who want to get away from it all but who want the amenities. The dining area/sitting room has a convertible couch that can sleep up to two children. Doors to the pool area can be locked for security. Note that there is no shallow area in the pool and no lifeguard so children must be supervised by parents.

The hotel welcomes you with a bottle of wine, drinks and sweets in the frig, coffee and tea as you wish, espresso maker and a very nice package of toiletries. The staff at the hotel give you personal service with a smile. They will supply anything you need.

We recommend this hotel to couples who want a private get away. Couples with either a baby or children who are responsible in a pool. Teen and young adult children will love to vacation with their parents at Hamakom. Parents vacationing with married children will enjoy taking separate units and dining together either outside on the spacious grounds around each unit or inside one of the units. Groups of adults will enjoy their own privacy but you always have the ability to visit and sit together with other group members in the public spaces.

From eLuna Visitors to the Resort:
January 2014: Ruth, I forgot to write you earlier to tell you how completely blown away we were by HaMakom. Carole and I adored every minute we were there, and I cannot imagine any future trip to Israel that does not include two or three nights there. Bill

June 2010:
We arrived at Hamakom at about 3pm, check in time. As we approached the property we called manager Rachel, who met us and gave us a tour or the facility. We drove right up to the entrance to our suite. The room was comfortably air conditioned and music filled the space. It was an “Ahhh” moment.

After our long dusty drive, the pristine pool and its deep blue water looked too good to be true. Picture perfect, this is indeed a real pool with two comfortable lounge chairs and a separate Jacuzzi. The sophisticated sound system pipes music or TV into the pool area.

We could not get into that pool fast enough, and we took our first dip as soon as we arrived.  Though it is a relatively small pool, the advantages make up for the size: the privacy, the solitude, you do not have to negotiate your lane with another swimmer, and you are not splashed by less considerate swimmers.

A quick shower in the beautifully outfitted bathroom and we fell into the inviting bed for a rest.  All of the items in the suite were carefully chosen for your comfort. The mattresses are the famous Aminach Carmel Forest type. The bedding is soft and high quality, and the temperature control is perfect. Delightful original artwork decorated our room. A stunning ironwork wall hanging by a local artist decorated the main room with matching bath and kitchen accessories by the same artist. A large flat screen TV hangs on the wall in the main room, and a second TV in the kitchenette.

You can enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants but if you just want to stay in, with one days notice Rachel will organize dinner delivered to your room [verify this in advance]. We had not planned dinner in advance so Rachel helped us to order a pizza that was delivered with salad for a reasonable NIS 85. We enjoyed the pizza with the complementary bottle of wine provided by the hotel.

One of the lovely things about having the privacy and the easy access to the pool is the ability to take another dip whenever you want. Later in the evening I did another round in the pool. The indirect lighting gave a beautiful glow to the water and glancing upward I could see the moon and more stars than I have seen in years– quite a wonderful site for this city girl.

A big basket of breakfast foods was delivered at about 9:30am. Eggs, yogurt, a wide selection of cheeses, a selection of rolls, tuna salad, olives, vegetables, far more than we could eat. We made our own coffee using the espresso machine with all the fixings.

The second day is the time to start the serious business of relaxation. Unfortunately we had to end our vacation almost before it started, and head back to the big city. Another dip in the pool and we were on our way with plans to return as soon as possible.

Submitted by: Deborah M. Date: July 2010. Description: We are just back from our night at HaMakom and can confidently say we haven’t had as good a time anywhere else! The suite is just beautiful; very luxurious and spacious, with lovely little touches – an espresso machine and water machine, complementary bottle of wine, fruit bowl, and cookies in the kitchen, with complementary soft drinks, milk for your coffee, and two individual dairy desserts in the fridge. We took turns enjoying the amazing massage chair while watching a movie on the huge screen – the cable available includes all the movie channels. There’s also a dvd player, if you want to take up your own entertainment (although they considerately provide a few dvds to choose from in the room). All the time we had, apart from that one movie and eating and sleeping, we spent in our wonderful private heated pool, alternating with dips in the state-of-the-art Jacuzzi. The pool room is beautiful – large windows all the way around let in the outside, but frosted glass on the bottom halves of the windows maintains your privacy. We didn’t see a soul during our time at HaMakom, except for the very helpful staff, who met us when we arrived and saw to any requests we had, and delivered a tasty and plentiful breakfast in the morning. The luxury of your own private pool – big enough to swim properly in – can’t be overstated. We loved it. We can’t wait to go back, and stay for longer!
